Radiesse® Dermal Filler Injections
Non-Surgical Deep Wrinkle Treatment and Hand Rejuvenation in Charlotte Area. What is Radiesse?
What is Radiesse?
Radiesse (calcium hydroxylapatite) is an injectable dermal filler which is injected to restore volume and correct deep facial folds and wrinkles. It is also FDA-approved for hand rejuvenation, restoring the lost volume in the dorsum of the hand. Radiesse is a calcium-based filler and has a similar composition to that of mineralized bone. The longevity of Radiesse is longer term and lasts for 18 months. In addition to its immediate skin plumping and wrinkle reducing effects, Radiesse also stimulates your body’s own natural collagen production in the injection area.
Areas Treated with Radiesse?
Radiesse is FDA-approved the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds and for improvement in the appearance of the back of the hand due to volume loss. Radiesse is ideal for many areas of soft tissue augmentation and for giving the structure back to the jawline area, recreating the areas of bony loss.
Radiesse can also be used to highlight cheekbones and create a stronger, more defined jawline where bone loss is the most evident. It has also been utilized in the arms and the upper thigh area to help restore lost collagen and elastin.
Liquid Facelift with Radiesse
Radiesse® is one of several fillers that may be used in combination with hyaluronic acid fillers (Juvederm) and neuromodulators such as Botox to create a “liquid face lift.” Dr. Saluja will evaluate your cosmetic needs and create a cosmetic plan to help achieve your aesthetic result.
Radiesse for Hand Rejuvenation
Radiesse is FDA cleared for volume restoration for the back of the hands. Over time, fat, collagen and elastin are lost in the skin and structure of the hands which leads to increased visibility of underlying structures such as tortuous veins or tendons. Radiesse or Juvederm can be used to replace volume lost in the hands, creating a more youthful appearance. This is often combined with a laser or light source that targets pigmentation to further improve total hand restoration.
