It is important to remember that laser hair removal is the most effective for black, or brown hair. It does not work well for blonde, red or gray hair. The reason for this is that melanin (pigment) is the target for the laser. So pigmented hair will allow the conduction of the laser energy to be distributed down to the hair follicle where the laser energy will be effective.
