Whether it’s removing a brown spot from the back of a golfer’s hands, treating spider angioma on a child who’s too self-conscious to pose for their school photo, removing an unwanted tattoo, or minimizing body fat, Dr. Saluja loves the smiles that come with the final result.
Dr. Saluja received a degree in pharmacy from the University of Kentucky, then completed medical school at Emory University. After finishing her ophthalmology residency at the Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, she moved back to North Carolina to practice as a board-certified ophthalmologist.
After using Botox® to treat facial spasms, Dr. Saluja became interested in cosmetic dermatology. She went on to complete a research and clinical fellowship in cosmetic dermatology under the guidance of a world-renowned expert in the field, Dr. Mitch Goldman.
During her fellowship, Dr. Saluja received intensive training in dermal fillers, injectables, and laser technology. She participated in clinical trials and laser research, publishing papers on fractional laser technology, laser lipolysis, Alexandrite lasers, Picopulsed lasers, radio-frequency devices and laser hair removal. Dr. Saluja is a well-known expert in laser treatments and injectables. Her clinical experience on a multitude of laser platforms has led to invitations to lecture internationally and in nearly every state in the United States. Since 2014, she has been an active participant on the medical advisory board for Cynosure, the largest aesthetic laser company globally, where she offers input on laser design and other aspects of laser science.
